Hey all.
Thought I'd post on this blog since I hadn't officially done much on it yet. Jordan, Carson and I had a fun time in the High Uintas with a good size group of scouts. (Ventures and Varsity to be exact...Teachers and Priests for the scouting challenged) Most of the boys had never been backpacking, including our bishop so we only did about 5 miles a day. It was a wonderful success. Caught lots of fish, saw some fantastic scenery and the boys all had a terrific time.

Is that actually a smile from carson, and not a smirk?? Wow. must've been one good hiking trip. Jared and I will have to scout out some good areas for backpacking here in the greater midwest/east and then send pictures to tantalize you all into coming :)

our update:
we just bought me a computer, but it smells just as bad as the store we bought it from (we considered burning our clothes they reeked so badly of smoke). the humidity isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be. i might work in a natural history museum. mom, i just made some killer delish marinara to go with those yummy ravioli you get at costco.
