"When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including hte fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up." C. S. Lewis
I might just be wearing pig tail buns for the rest of my life. Is that the same thing? ;-)

Hey family!
By now you've heard the news, and if not directly from myself or Jared, I apologize. We're buying a home! We partly didn't want to jinx ourselves by announcing things until they were official (we've had such a hard time winning a bidding war in this crazy Austin seller's market) and partly we've just been busy with the details of such a purchase. Close date is this Friday though, so it looks like I'm finally going to get my big girl house and Jared will get some power tools to build me things to put in it. :)
As the next item seems to be the most requested, here 'tis. Pictures!:

The lovely 1503 Mayapple St. In Pflugerville, Austin. Home of the "Dillon" Panthers.

Hello spacious kitchen. I've longed a long time for something your size. Sorry the picture is blurry. I'm getting all these images from google, haha.

Living room and playroom (for now), with previously viewed kitchen off to the back left. Stairs toward the front left.
Sorry, that's all I've got pic wise for now. The owners rented it out for the last 5 years, so hello new paint and (hopefully soon) goodbye carpet! Votes for laminate, hardwood, composite, cork wood, cement or tile floors???
I know this section might be a little heavy on the details, but in the name of making up for lacking communication and just in case anyone was wondering ;-).... We bought paint: a medium shade slate blue for an accent wall, a very subtle grey blue for most walls downstairs, and taupe for an accent wall along the staircase and wall upstairs. I tried to copy the colors from the SW site, but alas it wouldn't work. However, b/c I know you're all dying for details, Pottery Barn featured our color scheme in one of their latest catalogs, so here's our color palette in action.
Love to all, and may this be the beginning of many more family blog posts! This is what's happening with our family, what's happening with yours?

My Marketing Team
You'd think this was Halloween, but this is just how we show up to
work. Really I just look for any excuse to wear shorts

Cory's Photo Blog
Hey Guys,
I've created a quick little thing that will send out an email each time I post a photo. As Miranda has pointed out, I'm slacking a little on my posting, this way you'll know when I do.
